Nice Drawing photos

A few nice drawing images I found:

Scenes near an advanced dressing station
drawing
Image by National Library of Scotland
This photograph was taken near an advanced dressing station. It is a busy scene of wounded men lying on stretchers on the ground and men sitting waiting to be tended to. A temporary shelter has been set up for some of the wounded. On the road there is a long line of soldiers and three horse-drawn field ambulances.

Dressing stations were set up behind the line to tend to the wounded. Whilst many images were deliberately taken as propaganda, some, like this, simply document the everyday experience of war.

[Original reads: 'OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN ON THE BRITISH WESTERN FRONT. Scenes near an advanced dressing station.']
