Art Fun Cheap

I love my Lascaux acrylics and Daniel Smith watercolors, but for just plain enjoyment, I’m addicted to cheap, fun art supplies. Some are surprisingly good; all can be wonderfully freeing and inspiring.

Cheap, fun art supplies are not intimidating. Art becomes play again—sometimes with amazing results. I’m always on the lookout for fun stuff that works.

You can buy cheap art supplies at drugstores, discount and dollar stores, office supply stores, grocery stores, and sometimes at hardware stores and beauty supply stores. This blog covers some old and new favorites and some of the things that are easiest to find.
