Marvy Color Tricks Pencil–Three-Color Lead

September 8th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Here is the info I promised on how to get the three-color rainbow-writing pencils. What you want is the Marvy Color Tricks Mechanical Pencil. It comes in a package with a supply of extra lead for just a couple of dollars.

Marvy products are sold in many art and craft stores, especially their markers. However, so far I’ve only seen the Color Tricks pencil on line and at Texas Art Supply. I’ve bought it there for about $1.60 USD. You can order it from www.texasart.com.

This is a sturdier pencil than the original Rainbow Stix, but it is less unobtrusive. If you want a stealth pencil for doodling at serious business meetings, you might want to find a plain, serious-looking mechanical pencil that accepts 1.3mm leads. But probably no one will notice anyway.

Thank You , many times over !
I have been searching (high and low) for these leads for 2/3 years now ! I originally bought (2 pairs) of the pencils from a ‘bargain-bin’ at the local Post-Office ,on Christmas special-offer for 79 pence or so .
I put the spare leads ’somewhere safe’ - haven’t found them since, and have been going a bit ’spare’ myself as a result .
Thank you so, so much for this news ; I shall hopefully now be able to once more ‘techni-doodle’,
where even the worst doodles look that bit prettier !
I do certainly wish that you will receive something equally longed-for yourself, or perhaps, should I wish that you’ll not be without - in the first place ?!
A Happy Festive Season to you, at least !
